Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross & Jon Batiste were honored with the Critics’ Choice Award in the Best Score category for their music for Pixar’s animated movie Soul at tonight’s virtual 26th Critics’ Choice Awards. Reznor & Ross previously won the award in 2011 for their score for David Fincher’s The Social Network and were also nominated this year for their work on Fincher’s Mank. The other composers nominated in the category were Ludwig Göransson for Tenet, James Newton Howard for News of the World, Alexandre Desplat for The Midnight Sky and Emile Mosseri for Minari.
In the Best Song category, Leslie Odom Jr. & Sam Ashworth won the award for the original song Speak Now from Regina King’s One Night in Miami.
