Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD Club series, including a deluxe edition for the 2003 animated/live-action hybrid comedy Looney Tunes: Back in Action directed by Joe Dante and starring Brendan Fraser, Jenna Elfman,, Timothy Dalton, Joan Cusack, Bill Goldberg, Heather Locklear and Steve Martin. The album features the film’s expanded original score composed by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Planet of the Apes, Chinatown, Basic Instinct, L.A. Confidential, Patton). Also included are the rewrites and additional music from the movie by John Debney, Cameron Patrick & others, as well as alternates and outtakes of Goldsmith’s score. The label has also announced a deluxe edition soundtrack for the 1995 family drama Babe directed by Chris Noonan, produced by George Miller and starring James Cromwell and Magda Szubanski. The album features the film’s expanded original score composed by and produced by Nigel Westlake (Miss Potter, Babe: Pig in the City, Paper Planes) and performed by the Victorian Philharmonic Orchestra, including previously unreleased music.
