Quartet Records has announced the world premiere recording of the previously unreleased score for the 1972 horror mystery drama Endless Night directed by Sidney Gilliat, based on Agatha Christie’s novel of the same title and starring Hayley Mills, Britt Ekland, Hywel Bennett, Per Oscarsson and George Sanders. Reconstructed from the original manuscript by the film’s composer Bernard Herrmann (Psycho, Vertigo, Taxi Driver, Cape Fear, North by Northwest), the music is performed by the Basque National Orchestra and conducted by Fernando Velázquez (The Impossible, Mama, A Monster Calls), with original Moog synthesizer sessions played by Toni Saigi.
