Varese Sarabande will release the official soundtrack album for the drama The Trial of the Chicago 7. The album features the film’s original score composed by Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Birds of Prey, Ocean’s 8). Also included is the original end credits song Hear My Voice written by the composer and performed by Celeste (who also co-wrote the lyrics with Pemberton). The track will be available to stream/download tomorrow. The full soundtrack will be released digitally on October 16 (click here to pre-order) and a CD version is set to come out on November 20. The Trial of the Chicago 7 is written and directed by Aaron Sorkin and stars Eddie Redmayne, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jeremy Strong, Mark Rylance, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Keaton, Frank Langella, John Carroll Lynch and Alex Sharp. The movie centers on the trial of the organizers of a peaceful protest at the 1968 Democratic National Convention that turned into a violent clash with police and the National Guard. The drama is currently playing in select theaters and premiere on October 16 on Netflix.
