Composer H. Scott Salinas (The Ballad of Lefty Brown, The Banker, Warrior, Sea of Shadows) and songwriter/record producer Sky Rompiendo have contributed the original music to the upcoming documentary The Boy from Medellín. Heineman is also producing the project with Juan Camilo Cruz, Myles Estey and Joedan Okun. Salinas has previously collaborated with the director on multiple projects, including the feature documentaries Cartel Land and City of Ghosts, the docu-series The Trade and the director’s narrative feature debut A Private War. The Boy from Medellín is premiering this week at the 2020 Toronto Film Festival and has been picked up by Amazon Studios for worldwide distribution.
