Netflix announced today that Steven Price (Gravity, Our Planet, Fury, Suicide Squad, The Aeronauts, Wonder Park) is composing the original score for the upcoming animated musical Over the Moon. Christopher Curtis (Chaplin: The Musical), Marjorie Duffield and Helen Park (KPOP The Musical) have written original songs to the film, which is directed by Glen Keane (Dear Basketball) and features the voice talent of Cathy Ang, Phillipa Soo, Robert G. Chiu, Ken Jeong, John Cho, Ruthie Ann Miles, Margaret Cho, Kimiko Glenn, Artt Butler and Sandra Oh. The movie follows a girl who fueled with determination and a passion for science – builds a rocket ship and blasts off, hoping to meet a mythical moon goddess. Audrey Wells (Under the Tuscan Sun, The Hate U Give) wrote the screenplay. Gennie Rim and Peilin Chou (Abominable) are producing the Pearl Studios production. Over the Moon will premiere this fall on Netflix.
