Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman, The 25th Hour, Inside Man, Malcolm X, Harriet) has composed the original music for the upcoming documentary On the Record. The film is directed by Kirby Dick & Amy Ziering (The Invisible War, The Hunting Ground) and tells the story of music executive Drew Dixon (producer of hit records by 2Pac, Method Man and Mary J. Blige), whose career and personal life have been deeply affected by the abuse she faced from the men she admired in the industry she loves. Ziering and Dick are also producing the project with Amy Herdy (The Bleeding Edge) and Jamie Rogers. On the Record will premiere later this week at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival.
Blanchard’s upcoming projects also include Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods starring Delroy Lindo, Clarke Peters, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Norm Lewis & Chadwick Boseman.
