Mark Orton has recently scored the upcoming drama The Last Shift. The film is written and directed by Andrew Cohn (Night School, Warriors of Liberty City) and stars Richard Jenkins, Shane Paul McGhie, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Birgundi Baker, Allison Tolman and Ed O’Neill. The movie centers on an aging fast food worker as he prepares to work his final graveyard shift after 38 year. Albert Berger & Ron Yerxa (Little Miss Sunshine, Election) are producing the project with Sam Bisbee (The Hero, Cop Car), Alex Lipschultz (Lovesong, Menashe) and Bert Kern. Orton (The Good Girl, My Old Lady) has previously scored the Berger- & Yerxa-produced 2013 feature Nebraska. The Last Shift will premiere in January at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival.
Orton’s other upcoming projects also include the Pixar Animation short Loop and Christopher Munch’s The 11th Green.
