22D Music has released a soundtrack album for the French drama The Spellbound (Les envoûtés). The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Bruno Coulais (Coraline, The Chorus, The Crimson Rivers, Winged Migration). The Spellbound is co-written and directed by Pascal Bonitzer and stars Nicolas Maury, Anabel Lopez, Iliana Lolic and Josiane Balasko. The movie follows a contributor to a women’s magazine who is sent deep into the Pyrenees to interview an artist who claims his mother appeared to him at the precise moment she died. The drama is being released in French theaters this week. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
