Carter Burwell (Fargo, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Carol, Twilight, True Grit) is the composer of the new Apple TV+ original series The Morning Show. The show is created by Jay Carson (The Front Runner) and stars Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Bel Powley and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. The drama follows the free fall of an early morning newscast in the wake of a scandal, and its struggle to survive in an era when news arrives in the palm of your hand. Aniston and Witherspoon are also executive producing the project with showrunner Kerry Ehrin (Bates Motel), Michael Ellenberg, Kristin Hahn (Dumplin’, Cake), Lauren Neustadter and Mimi Leder (Deep Impact, The Peacemaker) who also directed multiple episodes. The Morning Show will premiere this Friday, November 1 on Apple TV+.
As previously reported, Burwell also has Bill Condon’s The Good Liar coming up. The movie will be opening in theaters on November 15 and the soundtrack album will be released on November 8 by WaterTower Music.
