Henry Jackman is returning as the composer of the upcoming adventure sequel Jumanji: The Next Level. The film is directed by Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher, Orange County) and stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Danny Glover and Danny DeVito. Kasdan also wrote the screenplay with Jeff Pinkner (Alias, Fringe) & Scott Rosenberg (Con Air, Venom) and is also producing the project with Johnson, Matt Tolmach (The Amazing Spider-Man, Venom), Dany Garcia (Ballers) & Hiram Garcia (Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Rampage). Jackman has previously scored 2017’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Jumanji: The Next Level will be released in theaters nationwide on December 13, 2019 by Sony Pictures. Jackman’s other upcoming projects include the Netflix original movie Dhaka starring Chris Hemsworth and STX Entertainment’s 21 Bridges, which will be released in theaters on November 22. The composer also recently scored Nate Parker’s American Skin and Matthew Michael Carnahan’s Mosul, both of which premiered at this year’s Venice Film Festival.
