David Schwartz (Arrested Development, Northern Exposure, Veep, Lady Dynamite) is the composer of the new Fox drama Almost Family. The show is developed by Annie Weisman based on the original Endemol Shine Australia series from Jonathan Gavin & Imogen Banks and stars Brittany Snow, Timothy Hutton, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Emily Osment, Mustafa Elzein, Mo McRae and Victoria Cartagena. The series revolves around an only child who finds her life turned upside down when her father is forced to reveal that over the course of his pioneering career as a fertility doctor, he used his own sperm to conceive dozens of children. Weisman is also executive producing the Universal Television and FOX Entertainment production with Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights, Parenthood), Jeni Mulein, Banks, Sharon Levy and Randy Zisk (Monk, Bones). Leslye Headland (Russian Doll, Bachelorette) directed and executive produced the pilot episode. Almost Family is premiering tonight and will air every Wednesday night on Fox. Schwartz also continues to score NBC’s The Good Place, which currently airs in its fourth season every Thursday night. He also recently scored the feature Standing Up, Falling Down, which premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and has been picked up for Shout! Studios for a release in 2020.
