Quartet Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1989 crime comedy drama Harlem Nights directed by Eddie Murphy who also stars in the movie, alongside Richard Pryor, Danny Aiello, Michael Lerner, Belinda Tolbert and Jasmine Guy. The album features the original music from the Paramount Pictures production composed by Academy Award winner Herbie Hancock (Round Midnight, Death Wish, Blow Up). Also included are the jazz standards by Duke Ellington, specifically recorded for the movie and produced by Hancock.
