Alejandro Amenábar has composed the original music for his upcoming Spanish/Argentine war drama While at War (Mientras Dure La Guerra). The movie is co-written and directed by Amenábar and stars Karra Elejalde, Eduard Fernández, Santi Prego, Luis Bermejo, Tito Valverde and Nathalie Poza. The film set in the first months of the Spanish Civil War and tracks the country’s slide into nearly four decades of fascism under dictator Francisco Franco. Amenábar is also producing the project with Fernando Bovaira (Sex and Lucia), Domingo Corral (Hierro) and Hugo Sigman (Wild Tales). The director has previously scored several of his movies, including The Others and The Sea Inside, while his last two features were scored by Dario Marianelli (Agora) and Roque Banos (Regression). While at War will premiere next month at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival.
