MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the Danish/Swedish drama Queen of Hearts (Dronningen). The album features the film’s original music composed by Jon Ekstrand (Life, Easy Money, Child 44, Slaughterhouse Rulez). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Queen of Hearts is co-written and directed by May el-Toukhy and stars Trine Dyrholm, Gustav Lindh and Magnus Krepper. The movie follows a woman who embarks on a dangerous affair with her stepson. The drama premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it won the audience award in the World Cinema – Dramatic section and was released in Scandinavian theaters over the last two months. A release in the UK is set for this fall. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
