Ryan Miller has composed the original score for the Netflix original movie The Last Summer. The film is directed by William Bindley (Madison) and stars K.J. Apa, Maia Mitchell, Tyler Posey, Jacob Latimore, Halston Sage, Sosie Bacon, Gage Golightly, Wolfgang Novogratz, Jacob McCarthy, Mario Revolori and Gabrielle Anwa. The romantic comedy drama follows a group of teens from a Chicago high school as they grapple with their dreams, relationships and identities in a transformative summer before they leave for college. The director also co-wrote the screenplay with with Scott Bindley (The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature) and is producing the project with Mike Karz (Valentine’s Day, Blended) and Wayne Rice (Dude, Where’s My Car?). Miller who is best known as the lead singer and guitarist of Guster has previously scored such features as Safety Not Guaranteed, In a World…, The Kings of Summer and The Fundamentals of Caring. The Last Summer will premiere this Friday, May 3 exclusively on Netflix.
