Dan Deacon has composed the original score for the upcoming documentary Well Groomed. The film is directed by Rebecca Stern and takes place in the world of competitive creative dog grooming. The movie follows four champion groomers and their dogs through a year in the life on the technicolor competition circuit, exploring their creative process. Stern is also producing the project with Justin Levy and Matthew C. Mills. Deacon’s previous film scoring credits include Francis Ford Coppola’s Twixt and the documentary Rat Film. Well Groomed will premiere next month at the 2019 SXSW Film Festival.
