Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Capote, The Good Dinosaur) has been hired to score the upcoming drama After the Wedding. The film is written and directed by Bart Freundlich (Trust the Man, The Rebound) and stars Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams, Billy Crudup and Abby Quinn. The movie is based on the Academy Award-nominated 2006 feature by Susanne Bier and centers on a woman – seeking funds for her orphanage in India – who travels to New York to meet a wealthy benefactor. Joel B. Michaels (Stargate, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines) and Harry Finkel are producing the project. After the Wedding will premiere next month at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.

As previously reported, Danna also has the family drama A Dog’s Way Home coming up. He also recently scored Mimi Leder’s On the Basis of Sex (to be released on December 25) and Gideon Raff’s The Red Sea Diving Resort.
