Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Monk, Appaloosa, Rome, Carnivale, Ugly Betty) is scoring the upcoming documentary Mike Wallace Is Here. The film is directed by Avi Belkin and centers on 60 Minutes newsman Mike Wallace who went head-to-head with the world’s most influential figures for half a century. The movie tracks Wallace’s storied career and troubled personal life while unpacking how broadcast journalism evolved to today’s precarious tipping point. Belkin is also producing the project with Rafael Marmor, John Battsek (How I Live Now, Studio 54), Peggy Drexler and Christopher Leggett (Becoming Bond). Mike Wallace Is Here will premiere in January at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.

The composer is also scoring the upcoming ABC drama Grand Hotel (set to premiere in 2019) and also has the drama Inside Game coming up. The film is directed by Randall Batinkoff and stars Will Sasso, Scott Wolf, Lindsey Morgan and Eric Mabius. The movie is based on the true story of the biggest betting scandal in NBA history. Andy Callahan wrote the screenplay. Michael Pierce (The Cooler, Running Scared) and Paul Martino are producing the project. Inside Game is expected to premiere in 2019.
