Mychael Danna has recently composed the music for the upcoming family drama A Dog’s Way Home. The film is directed by Charles Martin Smith (Dolphin Tale, Air Bud) and stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Ashley Judd, Jonah Hauer-King, Alexandra Shipp, Wes Studi and Edward James Olmos. The movie based on the book by W. Bruce Cameron chronicles the adventure of Bella, a dog who embarks on an epic 400-mile journey home after she is separated from her beloved human. Cameron also wrote the screenplay with Cathryn Michon (A Dog’s Purpose). Gavin Polone (Gilmore Girls, Zombieland) is producing the project. Danna has also recently scored Mimi Leder’s On the Basis of Sex, which premiered earlier this month at AFI Fest and will be released on December 25 by Focus Features. He also composed the music for Gideon Raff’s The Red Sea Diving Resort, which is expected to premiere in 2019.
