This past week, Hugo de Chaire has recorded his score for the upcoming British family comedy Surviving Christmas. The film is written and directed by James Dearden (screenwriter of Fatal Attraction) and stars Julian Ovenden, Gemma Whelan, Joely Richardson, Michael Landes, Sally Phillips, Ronni Ancona, Patricia Hodge and James Fox. The movie tells the story of two sisters looking to endure the holiday period with their families in their recently deceased parents’ dilapidated country house. Nick Hamson (Mum’s List) is producing the project. De Chaire has recorded his music at Abbey Road Studios in London. The composer’s previous scoring credits include last year’s Crooked House starring Glenn Close and the 2015 sci-fi drama Capsule. Surviving Christmas will be released in British theaters on November 30, 2018.
