Christopher Willis is set to reunite with director Armando Iannucci on the upcoming The Personal History of David Copperfield. The film stars Dev Patel, Tilda Swinton, Hugh Laurie, Peter Capaldi, Ben Whishaw, Gwendoline Christie, Benedict Wong, Paul Whitehouse, Daisy May Cooper, Aneurin Barnard, Morfydd Clark, Anthony Welsh and Rosalind Eleazar. The movie based on Charles Dicken’s classic novel is set in the 1840s and chronicles the life of its title character as he navigates a chaotic world to find his elusive place within it. Iannucci (In the Loop) also co-wrote the screenplay with Simon Blackwell and is producing the project with Kevin Loader (The Lady in the Van, Nowhere Boy). Willis has previously collaborated with Iannucci on his last feature The Death of Stalin, and the HBO series Veep. The Personal History of David Copperfield has just started principal photography and is expected to be released in 2019. (Screen Daily)
Willis also continues to score Veep, which will be returning for its seventh and final season next year, as well as Disney’s animated series The Lion Guard and Mickey Mouse.
