Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish fantasy horror movie Errementari: The Blacksmith and the Devil. The album features the film’s original music composed by Pascal Gaigne (The Olive Tree, Flowers, Stones). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. A CD version is also set to be released within the next couple of weeks. Errementari: The Blacksmith and the Devil is directed by Paul Urkijo Alijo and stars Kandido Uranga, Uma Bracaglia, Eneko Sagardoy, Ramón Aguirre, José Ramón Argoitia, Gorka Aguinagalde, Josean Bengoetxea and Iñigo de la Iglesia. The movie produced by Álex de la Iglesia based on a Basque folk tale Patxi herrementaria is set in the Basque region in 1845, in a universe inhabited by mythological diabolic creatures, battling to capture the souls of the unwitting. The film was released in Spanish theaters earlier this month. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
