Director Peter Spierig has composed the music for the upcoming horror thriller Winchester. He is co-directing the film starring Helen Mirren, Jason Clarke, Sarah Snook, Angus Sampson and Finn Scicluna-O’Prey with his brother Michael Spierig. The movie is inspired by real events and follows a woman, whose husband and their child died suddenly, and is adamant she is cursed and begins building the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, California upon advisement from a medium. The Spierig Brothers (Daybreakers, Jigsaw) also co-wrote the screenplay with Tom Vaughan (Unstoppable). Tim McGahan and Brett Tomberlin are producing the project. Peter Spierig has previously scored the directors’ 2014 feature Predestination. Winchester will be released in theaters nationwide on February 2, 2018 by CBS Films/Lionsgate.
