Rob (aka Robin Coudert) has been hired to score the upcoming Netflix and BBC mini-series Troy: Fall of a City. The show is created by David Farr (The Night Manager, Hanna) and stars Louis Hunter, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Christian Schoombie, David Gysai, Lex King, Bella Dayne, David Threlfall and Frances O’Connor. The 8-parter retells the story of the 10 year old siege of Troy and focuses on the story’s origins: the judgement of Paris, his scandalous love affair with Helen and and the ill-starred prophecy surrounding his birth. Farr is also executive producing the project with Derek Wax (Capital, Humans) for Wild Mercury, alongside Christopher Aird (Call The Midwife) for the BBC. Troy: Fall of a City will premiere in 2018 on BBC in the UK and in other territories on Netflix.
As previously reported, Rob whose previous scoring credits include Maniac, Horns and Amityville: The Awakening also has recently scored the French thriller Revenge, which premiered at this year’s Toronto Film Festival and was picked up by Shudder for a domestic release in 2018.
Why not Gabriel Yared?
