The music production house Bleeding Fingers Music has taken over scoring duties on the Fox animated series The SimpsonsHans Zimmer and Russell Emanuel serve as score producers and Steven Kofsky is credited as the score executive producer. The composers are replacing Alf Clausen who has scored most of the episodes of the previous 28 seasons of the series. Danny Elfman’s main titles theme for the show is still being used. Zimmer has previously scored 2007’s The Simpsons Movie. Bleeding Fingers’ previous scoring credits include Planet Earth IISurvivor and Alaskan Bush People. Season 29 of The Simpsons created by Matt Groening is premiering tonight on Fox. Visit the official show website for updates on the show.

    I was wondering why this season premiere’s score sounded awkward to say the least… Alf’s music has kept me interested all these years but I guess I’m Simpsons tapped out now.
