Warner Bros. Records will release the original song Stand Up for Something from the upcoming drama Marshall. The track is written by Diane Warren and Common and is performed by Andra Day feat. Common. The song will be released as a digital single tomorrow and will be available download on Amazon. Warren has previously written numerous songs for movies and received Academy Award nominations for such hit songs as Because You Loved Me from Up Close & Personal, I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing from Armageddon, How Do I Live from Con Air and Til it Happens to You from The Hunting Ground, among others. Common received an Academy Award for the song Glory from Ava DuVernay’s Selma. Marshall directed by Reginald Hudlin and starring Chadwick Boseman, Josh Gad, Kate Hudson, Dan Stevens, Sterling K. Brown and James Cromwell will be released nationwide on October 13, 2017 by Open Road Films.
