Premiering on Friday, August 25, is the Amazon original series The Tick created by Ben Edlund based on his own comic book series and starring Peter Serafinowicz, Griffin Newman, Jackie Earle Haley, Valorie Curry, Yara Martinez and Brendan Hine. Also premiering on Friday is the Netflix original series Disjointed created by Chuck Lorre & David Javerbaum and starring Kathy Bates, Dougie Baldwin, Elizabeth Ho, Elizabeth Alderfer, Aaron Moten and Tone Bell. Joseph LoDuca (The Evil Death, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, Ash vs. Evil Dead) is composing the show’s original music. Missing from last week’s weekly roundup was Marvel Animation’s new series Marvel’s Spider-Man executive produced by Dan Buckley, Jeph Loeb, Joe Quesada, Alan Fine,Stan Lee & Eric Radomski and featuring the voices of Robbie Daymond, Max Mittelman, Nadji Jeter, Melanie Minichino, Fred Tatasciore, Laura Bailey, Nancy Linari and Patton Oswalt. The show’s original music is composed by Kevin Manthei (Robot Chicken, Ben 10) who previously scored Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man animated series. The animated show premiered this past Saturday and will air on Disney XD.
