Edsel/Demon Records will release a soundtrack album for BBC Earth’s documentary Earth: One Amazing Day. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, 11.22.63, Queen of Katwe, State of Play). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 7 and will be available to download on Amazon. Earth: One Amazing Day directed by Peter Webber (The Girl With The Pearl Earring) & Richard Dale is the sequel to 2007’s hit movie Earth and tells the story of one day in the life of the planet, “celebrating the billions of real-life dramas that occur in the natural world every day”. Robert Redford is narrating the English-langue version of the film and Jackie Chan will voice the Mandarin version in China. The documentary will be released in China in August and in the U.S. and other markets this fall.
