Bear McCreary revealed in a recent interview with Film Music Magazine that he is scoring the upcoming horror thriller Half to Death. The film is directed by Christopher Landon (Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, screenwriter of Disturbia) and stars Jessica Rothe, Ruby Modine, Charles Aitken and Rachel Matthews. Landon also co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Lobdell. The movie follows a woman who must solve the mystery of her own murder before her chances run out. No release date has been announced yet.
McCreary’s recent feature projects also include Nacho Vigalando’s Colossal, which is opening in select theaters this weekend. He also scored the upcoming animated feature Animal Crackers, the thriller Revolt, the documentary Unrest and the drama Rebel in the Rye, which premiered in January at Sundance and will be released later this year by IFC Films.
