Ari Posner and Amin Bhatia are composing the original score for the upcoming Netflix original series Anne. The show is created by Moira Walley-Beckett (Breaking Bad, Flesh and Bone) based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel Anne of Green Gables and stars Amybeth McNulty, Geraldine James, R.H. Thomson, Lucas Jade Zumann, Dalila Bela, Corinne Koslo and Aymeric Jett Montaz. The drama centers on a young orphaned girl in the late 1890s who, after an abusive childhood spent in orphanages and the homes of strangers, mistakenly is sent to live with an aging sister and brother. Walley-Beckett is also executive producing the project with Miranda de Pencier (Beginners, Adam), Alison Owen (Saving Mr. Banks) and Debra Hayward (Les Miserables, Bridget Jones’s Baby). Niki Caro (Whale Rider, North Country) directed the first episode. Posner’s & Bhatia’s previous scoring credits include the TV shows Flashpoint and X Company. Anne is set to premiere on May 12, 2017 on Netflix.
