BBC America announced today that Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea and Jasha Klebe are scoring the upcoming BBC docu-series Blue Planet II for Bleeding Fingers Music. The 7-part series is presented and narrated by Sir David Attenborough and will immerse audiences in the world’s oceans, which are still the most expansive but least known parts of our planet. The show is produced by BBC Studios Natural History Unit, BBC America, WDR and France Télévisions in partnership with The Open University. Zimmer will compose the theme and score the series with Shea and Klebe. The composers have previously collaborated on the music for the BBC Earth documentary Planet Earth II. George Fenton composed the score for the original Blue Planet series. Blue Planet II is expected to premiere later this year.

Great news!
HANS IS ALWAYS GREAT NEWS!
Looking forward to this. I don’t think I’ve ever heard Hans Zimmer’s take on this subject.
Oh, that’s happen again. Completly anonymous score with few good moments.
