Adam Taylor is composing the music for the upcoming Hulu original series The Handmaid’s Tale. The show is created by Bruce Miller (Alphas, The 100) and stars Elisabeth Moss, Samira Wiley, Joseph Fiennes and Alexis Bledel. The drama is based on the classic novel by Margaret Atwood and tells the story of life in the dystopia of Gilead, an authoritarian theocracy that has supplanted the United States, where women are nothing more than wives, servants, or breeders, referred to as “handmaids.” Miller is also executive producing the MGM Television production with Fran Sears, Warren Littlefield (Fargo), Ilene Chaiken (The L Word) and Daniel Wilson. Reed Morano who previously collaborated with Taylor on 2015’s feature Meadowlands is directing the first three episodes. The Handmaid’s Tale will premiere on April 26, 2017 on Hulu.
Taylor’s recent projects also include Ry Russo-Young’s Before I Fall, which is currently playing in theaters nationwide.
