Lisa Gerrard and James Orr have composed the original music for the upcoming romantic thriller 2:22. The film is directed by Paul Currie (One Perfect Day) and stars Michiel Huisman, Teresa Palmer, Sam Reid and Simone Kessell. The movie follows a man whose life is permanently derailed when an ominous pattern of events repeats itself in exactly the same manner every day, ending at precisely 2:22 PM. Todd Stein and Nathan Parker (Moon, Equals) have written the screenplay. Steve Hutensky is producing the project for Walk The Walk Entertainment, alongside Currie, Bill Mechanic (Hacksaw Ridge, Coraline), Jodi Matterson (Not Suitable for Children). 2:22 will be released in 2017.
Gerrard’s previous scoring credits include Gladiator, Whale Rider, Ali and The Insider. Orr has previously collaborated with Gerrard as part of her music team on features including Jane Got a Gun, Oranges and Sunshine, Samsara and Burning Man.
