This week, Victor Reyes is recording his score for the upcoming psychological thriller Cold Skin. The film is directed by Xavier Gens (Hitman, The Divide, Frontier(s)) and stars Ray Stevenson, David Oakes and Aura Garrido. The movie is based on the book by Albert Sanchez Piñol of the same title and follows a young man who is approaching a remote island on the edge of the Antarctic Circle to relieve a weather observer who has been stationed there in solitude. But all he finds is a deranged castaway who has witnessed a horror he refuses to name. Jesus Olmo (28 Weeks Later) has written the screenplay. Denise O’ Dell and Mark Albela are producing the project. Cold Skin is expected to premiere in 2017.
Reyes who received his first Emmy Award this year for The Night Manager also recently scored the thriller Inside starring Rachel Nichols & Laura Harring. The movie premiered in October at the Sitges Film Festival and is expected to be released next year.
