Rolfe Kent has recently composed the original score for the upcoming romantic comedy Crash Pad. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Academy Award-nominated editor Kevin Tent (The Descendants, Nebraska) and stars Domhnall Gleeson, Christina Applegate, Thomas Haden Church and Nina Dobrev. The movie follows a hopeless romantic who thinks he’s found true love with an older woman, only to learn that she’s married and that his fling is merely an instrument of revenge against her neglectful husband. Jeremy Catalino has written the Black List-honored screenplay. William Horberg (The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain, The Kite Runner) and Lauren Bratman (The Stanford Prison Experiment) are producing the Wonderful Films, Indomitable Entertainment and Windowseat Entertainment production. Alexander Payne who has collaborated with Kent several times on such movies as Election, About Schmidt and Sideways serves as an executive producer on the project. Crash Pad is expected to premiere in 2017.
Kent also has the animated feature Rock Dog directed by Ash Brannon coming up. The movie is set to be released in the U.S.on February 24, 2017 by Lionsgate/Summit Entertainment.
