A soundtrack album has been released for the Japanese monster movie Godzilla Resurgence (aka Shin Godzilla). The album features the film’s original music composed by Shiro Sagisu (Attack on Titan, Bleach, Neon Genesis Evangelion) and Akira Ifukube. The soundtrack is now available in Japan and will be released in the U.S. on October 11, 2016. Visit Amazon to pre-order the album. No word yet on a domestic release. Godzilla Resurgence is co-directed by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi and stars Hiroki Hasegawa, Satomi Ishihara and Yutaka Takenouchi. The 29th Godzilla film produced by Toho is set in Japan as it is plunged into chaos upon the appearance of the giant monster. The movie was released in Japan last week and will be opening in other Asian markets over the next couple of weeks. Funimation Films has picked up domestic distribution rights and is planning a release later this year.
