Abel Korzeniowski is reteaming with director Tom Ford on the upcoming dramatic thriller Nocturnal Animals. The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Amy Adams, Isla Fisher, Kim Basinger, Michael Shannon, Ellie Bamber and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. The movie is based on the 1993 novel Tony And Susan by Austin Wright and follows a woman who receives a book manuscript from her ex-husband, a man whom she left 20 years earlier, asking for her opinion. Ford has also written the screenplay and is producing the project with Robert Salerno (We Need to Talk About Kevin, Arbitrage). Korzeniowski has previously collaborated with Ford on 2009’s A Single Man, for which he received a Golden Globe nomination. Nocturnal Animals is expected to premiere later this year and will be distributed in the U.S. by Focus Features.
The composer also continues to score Showtime’s Penny Dreadful, which returns for a third season on May 1. He also recently recorded his score for Lee Tamahori’s Emperor starring Adrien Brody.
