Dave Porter is composing the music for the new AMC original series Preacher. The show is developed by Evan Goldberg & Seth Rogen (This Is the End, The Interview) and show runner Sam Catlin based on the comic book franchise of the same title and stars Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Joseph Gilgun, Lucy Griffiths, Anatol Yusef, Tom Brooke, W. Earl Brown, Ian Colletti and Derek Wilson. The drama follows a West Texas preacher who is inhabited by a mysterious entity which causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Goldberg, Rogen & Catlin are also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television and AMC Studios production with Neal Moritz (Fast & Furious series, 21/22 Jump Street), James Weaver (Neighbors, The Night Before), Vivian Cannon (The Big C), Ori Marmur (Battle Los Angeles, Jack the Giant Slayer), Jason Netter (Wanted) and Ken Levin. Porter has previously scored all episodes of AMC’s Breaking Bad, on which Catlin served as a writer and producer. Preacher is set to premiere this summer on AMC. Porter also continues to score AMC’s Better Call Saul and NBC’s The Blacklist. The composer has also scored the thriller Term Life starring Vince Vaughn, which will be released in select theaters on April 29, 2016 by Focus World.
