Jeff Grace has been tapped to score the upcoming SundanceTV original series Hap and Leonard. The show is created by Jim Mickle & Nick Damici and stars James Purefoy, Michael Kenneth Williams and Christina Hendricks. The drama is set in 1980s East Texas and centers on Hap Collins, a white working-class ex-con, and Leonard Pine, an openly gay, black Vietnam vet with anger issues. Mickle and Damici are also executive producing the Sundance Studios production with Nick Shumaker (Another Earth) and Jeremy Platt (The Violent Kind). Grace has previously collaborated with Mickle on his last three features, Stake Land, We Are What We Are and Cold in July. Hap and Leonard will premiere in 2016 on SundanceTV. Visit the official show website for updates on the series.
As previously reported, Grace also has Ti West’s western In a Valley of Violence starring Ethan Hawke & John Travolta coming up.
