Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD club series. Among the titles is a 25th anniversary deluxe soundtrack edition for the 1990 sci-fi adventure Back to the Future Part III directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Michael J. Fox & Christopher Lloyd. The 2-CD set features the film’s original music composed by Alan Silvestri (Forrest Gump, The Avengers, Cast Away, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Croods), including the complete score on one disc, and alternate cues and source tracks on the second disc. The label will also release a deluxe soundtrack edition for the 1996 thriller Chain Reaction directed by Andrew Davis and starring Keanu Reeves, Morgan Freeman, Rachel Weisz, Fred Ward, Kevin Dunn and Brian Cox. The album features the expanded score from the movie composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Chinatown, L.A. Varese Sarabande has also announced a reissue of the soundtrack for the 1986 drama Where the River Runs Black directed by Christopher Cain and starring Charles Durning, Peter Horton and Dana Delany. The album features the film’s original music composed by James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, Braveheart. The soundtrack, which has been out of print for several decades, is limited to 2000 copies and is available to order here, where you can also check out audio clips.
