Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for Paul Verhoeven’s 1992 thriller Basic Instinct starring Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas. The album features the complete score from the film composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Alien, Planet of the Apes, The Omen, Patton) and recorded with the National Philharmonic Orchestra. Also included is the content of the original 1992 soundtrack album, as well as a number of bonus tracks including alternate cues. The label has also announced a new soundtrack album for the 1997 thriller Kiss the Girls directed by Gary Fleder and starring Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd and Cary Elwes. The album features the complete score from the Paramount Pictures production composed by Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, Point Break, 42), as well as the content of the original 1997 soundtrack album. Also included on the 3-CD set is the unused score for the movie written by Carter Burwell (Fargo, Twilight, Carol).
