Vincent Jones and Dave Kushner have been hired to score the upcoming animated comedy F Is for Family. The show is created by stand-up comedian Bill Burr & Michael Price (The Simpsons) and features the voices of Burr himself, Laura Dern, Justin Long and Haley Reinhart. The series is based on Burr’s own childhood and follows a lower middle class family in the 1970s. Burr and Price are also executive producing the Gaumont International Television and Wild West Television production with Vince Vaughn & Peter Billingsley (Couples Retreat, Dinner for Five). Jones and Kushner have previously composed music for the Billingsley-produced series Sullivan & Son. Jones’ other previous TV music credits include the main titles theme for NBC’s Parks and Recreations and the pilot episode of Amazon’s Transparent. Kushner who is best known as the guitarist of Velvet Revolver has previously co-composed the main titles theme for FX’s Sons of Anarchy and co-scored ABC’s Detroit 1-8-7. F Is for Family will premiere in the U.S. on Netflix. No premiere date has been announced yet.
