Nathan Larson is set to compose the score for the upcoming HBO series Vinyl. The show is created by Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Sopranos) and stars Bobby Cannavale, Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, Juno Temple, Ato Essandoh, P. J. Byrne, J. C. MacKenzie, Birgitte Hjort Sørensen and Paul Ben-Victor. The drama is set in 1970s New York and tells the story of Richie Finestra, a record executive trying to resurrect his label and find the next new sound. Martin Scorsese (Good Fellas, Taxi Driver, The Departed) has directed the pilot episode and is also executive producing the project with Winter, Mick Jagger, George Mastras (Breaking Bad), Rick Yorn (We Bought a Zoo), Victoria Pearman (Get on Up) and Emma Tillinger Koskoff (The Wolf of Wall Street).
