Mark Orton has signed on to score the upcoming indie comedy Unleashed. The film is written and directed by Finn Taylor (Dream With the Fishes, The Darwin Awards) and stars Kate Micucci, Steve Howey, Justin Chatwin, Sean Astin, Illeana Douglas, Hana Mae Lee and Josh Brener. The movie follows a 30-something app designer who moves to San Francisco after she’s betrayed by her boyfriend and changes her outlook on dating when a cosmic event turns her dog and cat into two perfect guys. Susan Johnson (Mean Creek) is producing the Braveart Films production with Debbie Brubaker. Unleashed is currently in post-prodcution and is expected to premiere in 2016.
Orton’s recent projects include the comedy People Places Things, which was released earlier this month following a premiere tat Sundance earlier this year. The composer of such films as Nebraska, The Good Girl and My Old Lady also has the horror thriller A Place in Hell directed by David Boorboor coming up.
