Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Gloria. The album features the film’s original music composed by Lorne Balfe (Terminator Genisys, Home, The Penguins of Madagascar), as well as nine classic Gloria Trevi songs performed by Sofía Espinosa, who stars as Gloria in the film. The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 21, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Gloria is directed by Christian Keller and stars Sofia Espinosa in the title role, as well as Sergio Andrade, her manager and husband. The movie is based on the story of Latin American singer Gloria Trevi, from Rio Negro, who has sold more than 20 million records and who saw her career crash in the late 1990s after she and her former manager were accused of luring young girls into a cult-like pornographic ring.
