Dustin O’Halloran has joined German electronic musician Apparat to co-score the upcoming sci-fi romance Equals. The movie is directed by Drake Doremus and stars Kristen Stewart, Nicholas Hoult and Guy Pearce. The film is set in the future and centers on a couple young couple rebelling against their society where emotions have been eradicated. Nathan Parker (Moon) wrote the screenplay. Ridley Scott and Michael Schaefer (Exodus: Gods and Kings) are producing the project for Scott Free Productions, alongside Ann Ruark (The Beaver, The Motel Life), Jay Stern (Horrible Bosses, Rush Hour 2) and Chip Diggins (A Walk in the Woods, Love and Honor).O’Halloran has previously scored Doremus’ last two features Like Crazy and Breathe In. Apparat has been announced as the film’s composer before the movie begin production last year. Equals is expected to premiere later this year. (The Playlist)
