Last night, Antonio Sanchez performed his original score for Alejandro González Iñárritu’s comedy drama Birdman live to picture at ACE Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. The jazz drummer who made his film scoring debut on the project was presented to the stage by actor Michael Keaton, who is up for an Oscar for his lead performance in the film. Check out a behind the scenes video, which features interviews with the composer/drummer and Keaton, as well as footage from the event after the jump. Sanchez’s score is available on Milan Records and the movie, which is nominated for 9 Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor/Actress, Best Cinematography and Best Original Screenplay, is now playing in theaters.
