Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans have been tapped to score the upcoming indie drama The Ticket. The film is directed by Ida Fluk and stars Dan Stevens, Malin Akerman, Kerry Bishe and Oliver Platt. The movie follows a blind man who regains his vision only to be engulfed in selfishness, blinded by his obsession for the superficial. Fluk has also co-written the script with Sharon Mashishi. Oren Moverman (Rampart, The Messenger) is producing the project with Lawrence Inglee for Blackbird Films, alongside Bill Walton & Matt Malek for Rush River Entertainment. Dale Brown, Nick Byasse and Katie Heidy are executive producing. The Ticket is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere later this year.
As previously reported, the composer duo’s upcoming projects also include The Driftless Area starring Zooey Deschanel & Anton Yelchin, Jack of the Red Hearts starring AnnaSophia Robb & Famke Janssen and Franny starring Richard Gere, Dakota Fanning & Theo James. A number of their other recent projects recently premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, including Last Days in the Desert starring Ewan McGregor & Tye Sheridan, Nasty Baby starring Kristen Wiig, the short film Rabbit and the documentary Wolfpack.
