Christophe Beck is reteaming with director Jason Moore to score the upcoming comedy Sisters. The film stars Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Ike Barinholtz, John Leguizamo, Dianne Wiest, John Cena and James Brolin. The movie follows two disconnected sisters who are summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the house and throw one final party in order to recapture their glory days. Paula Pell (30 Rock, Saturday Night Live) has written the screenplay. Fey is also producing the project with Roach (Austin Powers, Meet the Parents, The Campaign) and John S. Lyons (Boogie Nights, Pieces of April). Beck has previously co-scored Moore’s first feature Pitch Perfect with Mark Kilian. Sisters is set to be released on December 18, 2015 by Universal Pictures.
Beck’s upcoming projects also include Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man, Terminator Genisys, the animated feature The Peanuts Movie and the comedies Get Hard and Hot Tub Time Machine 2. Two movies scored by the composer are opening in limited release this weekend: Cake starring Jennifer Aniston and the documentary Red Army.
